9/15/2019 Install Adobe Illustrator Cs3
Jul 23, 2009 - Now I finally have Adobe CS3 Design Premium, but when I go to install the programs, it won't let me install Illustrator because it says it's already. It is full offline installer setup of Adobe Flash CS3 Professional for 64 Bit. Adobe Flash CS3 Professional Overview. Adobe Flash CS3 Professional is an exceptionally well known and convenient application which can be utilized for making Web activity, rich web applications, work area applications, portable diversions and versatile applications.
I just bought a new system this morning with windows 7. The first thing I did was install Illustrator CS3 because I needed it for a project. Anways, I installed and had one issue which was the missing acrobat.dll file i think, which adobe talks about already on their website, but installation can continue and it finishes fine. Now, after that was done I try to open Illustrator and the mouse cursors spins like its busy and then a few seconds later nothing happens. In the task manager, under processes, it lists illustrator there but not under programs. And I try to click on it again each time a new illustrator.exe shows up in processes with about 22,000k usage.
My computer specs are listed below and the adobe program is the CS3 Design Suite. Thanks in advance if anyone has information. Hi, The 32bit software should be installed to 'Program Files (x86)' folder and 64bit software is usually installed to another folder. Based on my research on, I only found that Adobe Illustrator 4 is compatible with Windows 7 and the Illustrator 3 is not listed.
Please confirm with Adobe support first. If the software is incompatible with Windows 7, I'm afraid that we may encounter some problem to install it. Meanwhile, please uninstall the software completely in Add or Remove Programs List and then reinstall it to 'Program Files (x86)' folder for a test. Thanks, Novak.
I have a similar situation to Daved. New machine (same processor in fact).
Installed Illustrator CS3. Installation seemed to complete satisfactorily.
But when I click on any of the installed Adobe programs (Illustrator, Bridge, etc) the cursor thingy spins for a few seconds then.nuthin'. (What are we gonna call that cursor thingy anyway?
It's better than the hourglass, but what is it?) I tried launching after switching to Vista and XP compatability modes, but with the same result. Adobe seems to be clueless about what's happening with their products under Win7. The info on their website is worthless. I tried uninstalling, running the cleaner utility and reinstalling.
Hey, so I've had this problem and I think I finally figured it out. It concerns the Windows 7 Aero visual theme. Some programs are incompatible with it (Illustrator included).
Sometimes Window 7 will adjust the settings automatically from Window 7 Aero to Window 7 Basic. Most times with Illustrator it does not. Here's what you need to do: 1. Go to your Control Panel.
Then go to Appearance and Personalization. Then click Personalization. Scroll down to Windows 7 Basic (under Basic and High Contrast Themes). Change it to Window 7 Basic. (The new Aero themes-even though some of its features are great- which are the default, will not work with older 32-bit programs sometimes.) This should resolve the problem, and Illustrator will start.
Hope this helps.
This solution worked for me too. I was having the exact same problem installing Design Premium to a laptop with XP Home.
It always failed with Illustrator, but everything else worked fine. Specifically, go to the HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Classes.svg and HKEYLOCALMACHINE SOFTWARE Classes.svgz Right click on each key, click Permissions, then see what the setting is for the SYSTEM account. For me, both of the above had permissions removed for some reason. I checked both of these to Full and reinstalled. It then completed successfully. I guess you should also check for administrator permissions (or your user account) while you're there. I really like how you have to wait for the entire install to take place (20-30 minutes) and see the progress bar go all the way to the end, only to have the rug pulled out from under you because of a registry key.
I must have tried reinstalling 4-5 times (trying various things, disabling virus checker, etc) before seeing Nick's post about the key. Thanks Nick [email protected] 9/5/2007, 21:47 น. Hi everyone, im having a pain trying to install illustrator CS3, im running a vist home premium, and everytime i try and run the installer i get an error 'This software cannot be installed because jscript is not properly registered.'
And ive gone through the guide at the adobe forum and have tried the 'regsvr32 jscript.dll' process but when i run it i get an error 'the module 'jscript.dll was loaded but the call to Dllregisterserver failed with an error code 0x80004005. VAR [email protected] 10/5/2007, 8:53 น. Tried to install CS3 on my recently purchased PC (Home Premium Vista), I have tried every combo I can think of but I still get the same message, failed to install certain parts / Illustrator CS3 / shared components. Looking in the event viewer, the only suggestion seems to be insufficient privilege / bonjour (tried as many options to run as administrator, remove this or that user control) and still the same thing. Doesn't install at all. Is it a home premium issue? CS2 / CS etc One issue seems to be Version Cue, as I don't even need / want version cue on a single machine,.
Any way of not having that installed and 'only' installing the Illustrator CS3??
